Evaluation Task 4
Evaluation Task 3
Evaluation Task 2
The types of media I have produced for my A2 project have worked well to showcase a strong brand identity. For example we kept to the same colour scheme throughout the media production (digipak, magazine advert and music video) where the colours red, white and black are used throughout - this is specifically shown during the performance shots in my music video where Jenna is wearing a red dress, red lipstick and white and black outfits.
All of these productions showcase a young teenage female pop artist, my productions have shown to be suitable to our target audience as we did not include any provocative shots throughout the music video and photoshoots for the ancillary tasks. Both productions advertise a girly, modern female artist with a professional looking portfolio - strongly advertising herself and persuading the public to buy her album as it strongly appeals to our target audience.
Overall the work I have produced for my A2 advanced portfolio all fits into the same pop theme and promotes her identity in a strong representation.

Evaluation Task 1 - Digipak
I have created this prezi to show the comparisons between our digipak and other female artists' digipaks. I have taken inspiration from Avril Lavinge, Hilary Duff, Rihanna and Demi Lovato - who are all female pop artists.

Evaluation Task 1
I have included this Prezi showing how we adopted conventions of other music videos into our own. I have also included screenshots to show the comparion between the two music videos. I have highlighted the four main techniques that we have adopted from other music videos, these being similaraties between Performance shots, Establishing shots, Narrative shots
This powerpoint showcases a more detailed analysis of how we challenged the conventions of a pop music video. I have focused more on where we took our influences from and included other music videos and theories because this shows where we have taken our inspiration from. I have included as many screenshots that we have taken from other influences as this shows how we have learnt from a variety of other music videos instead of just a few.

Final Digipak
This is our final digipak for our music video. We have chosen a set colour scheme of black, white and red as this shows conventions of a pop video and through research of other digipaks - this colour scheme has been successful and enhances the colours in outfits and make-up. For example I had looked at other examples of pop digipaks - such as Rihanna and her album 'Loud' which contains this colour scheme of red white and black. We also chose to include some close up shots of Jenna in our digipak as this is similar to Rihanna's and is a perfect example of a pop digipak. It was important to include font which looks like handwriting as it adds a personal touch - making the public/target audience closer to Jenna as they read through this digipak.

Throughout Rihanna's music video 'Only Girl in the World' - she has used the same colour scheme of reds and pinks making the video look girly - which is important when aiming for a target audience of young teenage girls. We hope that we have included this same colour scheme in our own digipak, in to our music video. Such as using bright lighting in most of our shots - matching the white backgrounds in our digipak and including the red flowers - which match the slight tone of red in our digipak. Also including black outfits in both the digipak and our music video so that they both match up to each other.

Rihanna's album 'Loud' includes the red, white and black colour scheme - showing conventions of a pop music video/digipak - it also helps that the theme of this digipak matches the theme of her music videos. Rihanna's digipak includes lots of close up shots which we have used inspiration from and added into our own digipak. The use of red, white and black also helps to make the digipak look girly and aim for a target audience of 13-16 year old girls.

Final Magazine Advert
This is my own individual final version of my magazine advert for Jenna Lauren - to go with our music video. I have included an image from the same shoot as the digipak as I wanted to keep the theme of the colours red, white and black in all of my ancillary tasks as it would look odd if one of them was different. This image of Jenna looks appealing to our target audience of 13-16 year old girls as she looks pretty & posy but not seductive that it's inappropriate towards our target audience. I have included a small image of the CD cover as a reference to her album, this allows our target audience to know what to look out for when this album finally gets released for a future reference. I felt it was important to include a quote from a newspaper and include a high star rating as this bigs up the album - making it include positive feedback - urging people to purchase it. I have also included a couple song titles to give my audience an insight as to the types of songs that will be on this album and other artists that will be featured. The 'available on iTunes' logo makes the advert look legit and professional and allows other resources as to where the album can also be purchased.

Record Label Logo
This our record label logo, we have decided to call it 'Lollipop Records' as we only produce pop music and therefore the play on words as 'pop' fits into 'lollipop'. This logo will be placed on magazine adverts and digipaks to advertise this record company. I wanted to use two different types of fonts - purely to exaggerate the 'Lollipop' title more than 'records'. Including imagery to our logo makes it more appealing to the eye and it also matches the title as i've replaced the o's with lollipop shapes. The 'records' part of the logo looks more general and plain as our attention is not wanted to be drawn to this part of the logo. Including the colour pink also makes the logo look girly as we are aiming towards a young teenage girl audience.

Digipak construction

These are screenshots from the making of our digipak - we have used the colour scheme of red, white and black as these are all complimentary colours which are bold and suit conventions of a pop video. We chose to use Jenna's name across the CD in a repeated pattern as this looks modern and looks appealing towards our target audience of teenage girls. We thought up the song titles all together as a group, however one song was called 'Dream on b****' and after re-thinking this we came to a conclusion that this song title was not appropriate for teenage girls aged 13-16 and replaced it with a song title used by Demi Lovato - 'Heart Attack' which is on the same album as the song we are doing (Give your heart a break).

Magazine advert inspiration
These are some magazine adverts I have found on google, they include the artist name, album name and when the album will be released. The photograph on the advert is either the actual album cover or a similar photo that was taken in the same shoot. All these features should be included in my magazine advert as it promotes the album - persuading people to buy it.
